Automatic transmission


After start of the engine and before inclusion of transfers press a brake. Otherwise the car will "gnash". Do not press at the same time a gas and brake pedal. After situation "D" inclusion the transmission works in an economic mode. It is possible to go by situation "D" practically always.

By soft pressing of a pedal of gas there is an early switching on transfers to economical fuel consumption. Manual switching is necessary only in exceptional cases. "З", "2" and "1" - only if you want to avoid switching on higher transfer or when braking by the engine.

As soon as the road situation allows, to switch to "D".

Positions of the lever of switching of R, R and N

R = parking. Forward wheels are blocked. Only at the standing car and the switched-on hand brake.

R= backing. To include only at the standing car.

N= neutral situation and idling.

In the situation "R" or "N" at the tightened hand brake start the engine. At gear shifting gas not to press.

Step of D

D= long situation for normal conditions of driving on transfers with 1 on 4.

After engine and inclusion start the "D" transmission always works in a mode of economic driving.

Step 3

3= situation for driving on 1, 2-3 transfers.

Step 2

2= situation for driving on 1-2 transfers, for example, on a mountain serpentine, thus a box is not switched to the 3rd and 4th transfers.

Step 1

Driving modes with electronic control

• The economic program, transfer is switched at low turns:

• Manual inclusion of "R", "З", "2" or "1".

• Ignition switching off.

Pressing of a pedal of an accelerator against the stop: at speed below a certain value the box is switched to lower transfer. It is applied to acceleration with use of full capacity of the engine.
Additional braking by the engine

For use of brake functions of the engine at descent in due time to include "3", "2" or if that is demanded by a situation, "1" step.

Brake action at a step "1" is especially effective. If "1" it is included at too high speed, the box will continue to work at the 2nd transfer until when, for example, at the expense of braking, the point of transition to the 1st transfer will be reached.
