10.21. Distributor of ignition (SOHC model)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

For installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition on engines of 14 NV and 16 SV it is necessary to use a tachometer and a stroboscope.


Removal

Detachment of the electric socket from the ignition distributor on model of 1,6 l (distribute a tel of BOSCH)

Detachment of the electric socket from the ignition distributor on the C16 NZ engine

Arrow VMT arrangement on the case of the distributor of ignition of LUСAS

Unscrewing of a nut of fastening of a tightening level of the distributor of ignition

Removal of a tightening level of fastening of the distributor of ignition

Removal of the distributor of ignition

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Uncover the ignition distributor.
3. Disconnect the electric socket from the ignition distributor (see fig. A detachment of the electric socket from the ignition distributor on model of 1,6 l (distribute a tel of BOSCH), the Detachment of the electric socket from the ignition distributor on the C16 NZ engine).
4. On models 14 NV disconnect a vacuum tube from a vacuum regulator of an advancing of the ignition located sideways of the distributor of ignition.
5. If the distributor of ignition is repeatedly established, combine adjusting labels on the case of the distributor of ignition and the camshaft case for distributor installation in a starting position.
6. For a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft turn a cranked shaft in the direction of working rotation before installation of the piston of the first cylinder at the moment of ignition. The piston of the first cylinder is established at the moment of ignition, if:

– the corresponding adjusting labels are combined – on models 14 NV the index on a back casing of a gear belt should settle down in the middle between two labels on a pulley of a cranked shaft; on models 16 NV the index on a back casing of a gear belt should be combined with a label on a pulley of a cranked shaft;
– the working end of a rotor of the distributor should be directed on the plug of a high-voltage wire of the first cylinder in a cover of the distributor of ignition;
– on the distributor of ignition of BOSCH the rotor of the distributor should be combined with a groove in the distributor case; on the distributor of ignition of LUСAS the rotor of the distributor should be combined with an arrow VMT on the distributor case (see fig. An arrow VMT arrangement on the case of the distributor of ignition of LUСAS).
7. Unscrew a nut, remove a tightening level and remove the ignition distributor from the camshaft case (see fig. Unscrewing of a nut of fastening of a tightening level of the distributor of ignition, Removal of a tightening level of fastening of the distributor of ignition, Removal of the distributor of ignition).
8. If necessary disassemble the ignition distributor.
9. Check a condition of a sealing ring in a back part of the case of the distributor of ignition and if necessary, replace it.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that the piston of the first cylinder is established in the ignition moment. Should be thus combined соответ stvuyushchy adjusting labels. If the cranked shaft of the engine was turned at the removed distributor, establish the piston of the first cylinder at the moment of ignition in a compression step. Unscrew a spark plug of the first cylinder, close an opening for a candle a finger and turn a cranked shaft of the engine until the finger will not feel air compression in the cylinder. It testifies that the piston of the first cylinder rises up in a compression step. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine further before combination of adjusting labels.
2. On the distributor of ignition of BOSCH turn a distributor rotor so that it was combined with a groove in the distributor case. On distribute a body of ignition of LUСAS turn a distributor rotor that it was combined with an arrow VMT on the distributor case. Check that the shaft of the distributor will incorporate to a camshaft only in this situation. If устанав ливается earlier removed distributor of ignition, combine the labels put on the case of the distributor and the case of a camshaft.
3. Establish a tightening level and fix a nut, but do not tighten a nut finally.
4. On the distributor of ignition of BOSCH remove a distributor rotor, then establish the plastic screen and a distributor rotor.
5. On models 14 NV connect a vacuum tube to a vacuum regulator of an advancing of ignition.
6. Connect the electric socket to the ignition distributor.
7. Establish a cover of the distributor of ignition.
8. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
9. Check and, if necessary, adjust installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition.
