16.2. General information

Forward suspension bracket on all models

Back suspension bracket on models with SOHC engines (model with back drum-type brakes)

Back suspension bracket on models with DOHC engines

The independent forward suspension bracket of the MacPherson type includes cylindrical springs and compound telescopic shock-absorbers. Racks of MacPherson fasten to the bottom cross-section levers of a suspension bracket by means of spherical hinges. On rotary fists wheel bearings, brake supports and a nave are established. The bottom levers and the stabilizer of cross-section stability via rubber plugs fastens to a demountable U-shaped bottom frame on which the back support of the power unit (see fig. also fastens. A forward suspension bracket on all models).

At such design of a forward suspension bracket course stability of the car increases when braking and drift when one party of the car moves on a slippery surface, and another on a firm covering is excluded.

The back suspension bracket on models with SOHC engines of dependent type consists of a back torsionny beam and longitudinal levers with barrel-like springs and telescopic shock-absorbers. On some models the stabilizer of cross-section stability which fastens to a back torsionny beam and to longitudinal levers of a back suspension bracket (see fig. is established. The self-regulating back suspension bracket is established only on a part of cars. Rigidity of a suspension bracket depends on pressure of air in pneumatic shock-absorbers. The valve of adjustment of pressure of air in pneumatic shock-absorbers is located in a luggage compartment.

The back suspension bracket on models with DOHC engines of independent type also consists of diagonal levers with бочкообраз ny springs, telescopic shock-absorbers and the stabilizer of cross-section stability. The forward ends diagonal levers fasten to a cross-section beam of a back suspension bracket plugs, and to a back part of levers shock-absorbers fasten. The stabilizer of cross-section stability is fixed on a cross-section beam of a back suspension bracket and connected about a diagonal by ny levers connecting earrings. The cross-section beam of a back suspension bracket fastens bolts to the car bottom (see fig. A back suspension bracket on models with DOHC engines).

On cars steering transfer of reechny type is established. For turn of forward wheels steering transfer incorporates to racks of a forward suspension bracket steering drafts.

The steering column consists of the case with a deformable element and the steering shaft which bottom end fastens to the elastic coupling.

On some models the amplifier of a steering is established.
