2.12.1. Removal

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

For removal of a pulley of a cranked shaft on N16 NZ2 1,8 and 2,0 engines of l it is necessary to use a stripper. On some later engines 1,4 and 1,6 of l which differ on the top casings of a gear belt, automatic mechanisms of a tension of a gear belt are established.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. On models with the amplifier of a steering remove a driving belt of the pump of the amplifier of a steering.
3. Remove a driving belt of the generator.
4. On C16 NZ2 1,8 and 2,0 engines of l disconnect the electric socket from the sensor of the index of temperature.
5. Release brackets of fixing or unscrew screws with six-sided heads and remove the main external casing of a gear belt (see fig. Removal of the main external casing of a gear belt).
6. Then disconnect a smaller casing from the water pump (see fig. Removal of a smaller casing of a gear belt from the water pump on the engine of 2,0 l). On some models the basic external casing fastens three bolts to a back casing, and the fourth bolt the tension mechanism (see fig. fixes also. Arrangement of bolts of fastening of a basic casing).
7. On models of 1,6 l with the amplifier of a steering remove the pump of the amplifier of a steering.
8. For a bolt of fastening of a pulley turn a cranked shaft before combination of an adjusting label on a camshaft pulley with a groove in a back cover of a gear belt (see fig. Label combination on a camshaft pulley with a groove in a back casing of a gear belt) and labels on a pulley of a cranked shaft – with the index on a back cover of a gear belt (see fig. Label combination on a pulley of a cranked shaft with the index on a back casing of a gear belt on the engine of 2,0 l, Combination of a label 10 ° to VMT on a pulley of a cranked shaft with the index on a back casing of a gear belt on the engine of 1,4 l). On the engine 1,4 there are two labels on a pulley of the cranked shaft, noted as 5 ° and 10 ° to the top dead point. Thus it is necessary to combine with the index a label 10 °.
9. Weaken three bolts of fastening of the water pump and turn the pump so that to reduce a tension of a gear belt. Remove a gear belt from a camshaft pulley (see fig. Unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of the water pump on the engine of 2,0 l).
10. On l engines 1,4 and 1,6 except the NZ2 C16 engine the pulley of a cranked shaft fastens one central bolt which the pulley of a gear belt also fixes. On l NZ2 1,8 and 2,0 C16 engines the pulley fastens four bolts which are necessary for unscrewing a face key. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft. For prevention of rotation of a cranked shaft on models with a mechanical transmission, the assistant should include any transfer and press a brake.
11. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft and take a gear belt.
12. For removal of a pulley of a camshaft disconnect a hose of ventilation of a case from a cover of a head of the block of cylinders, then unscrew bolts and uncover heads of the block of cylinders, a predvaritel but having noted an arrangement of arms of fastening of high-voltage wires.
13. Remove laying. Fix a camshaft from a provorachivaniye, holding it a wrench for a shlitsa between cams of the third and fourth cylinders and unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a camshaft.
14. Remove a pulley from a camshaft.
15. For removal of a pulley of a cranked shaft on l engines 1,4 and 1,6, except the NZ2 C16 engine unscrew the bottom bolts of fastening of the main back cover of a gear belt and insert behind a cover two big screw-drivers and remove a pulley of a cranked shaft. Remove from a cranked shaft a segment shponka.
16. For unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft on NZ2 1,8 and 2,0 C16 engines it is necessary to fix a cranked shaft from a provorachivaniye for what the assistant should include any transfer and press a brake. Using a stripper, remove a pulley from a cranked shaft. Remove a segment shponka and a persistent washer from a cranked shaft.
17. For removal of a back main casing of a driving belt on NZ2 1,8 and 2,0 C16 engines of l disconnect the electric socket from the VMT sensor and disconnect electroconducting from a casing. Unscrew two top and one bottom bolts of fastening of a casing and remove a casing, passing it through a smaller cover on the water pump (see fig. 18. If necessary remove a smaller back casing of a belt from the water pump for what unscrew a bolt of fastening and, turning a casing remove it from a fastening flange on the pump (see fig. Unscrewing of a bolt of fastening of a casing of a belt to the water pump on the engine of 2,0 l).
