Removal

SOHC MODELS

Fuel level sensor removal on the SOHC models

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a fuel tank. Disconnect a hose from the fuel level sensor. Also disconnect a hose from internal connection of the block of the sensor and take the sensor block from a fuel tank (see fig. Fuel level sensor removal on the SOHC models).

DOHC MODELS

The special Opel KM-673 tool for fuel level sensor removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a fuel tank. Put combination labels on the sensor and a fuel tank in order that it was possible to establish the sensor correctly into place.
2. Using a steel core or the special Opel KM-673 tool, establish it in grooves of a lock ring of the sensor and having turned a lock ring, release the sensor (see fig. The special Opel KM-673 tool for fuel level sensor removal).
3. Being careful, take the fuel level sensor block from a fuel tank, thus do not bend the float lever.
4. Remove a sealing ring.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. Replace a sealing ring.
3. At installation of the sensor combine the adjusting labels put before removal.
4. Establish a fuel tank.
