7.38. An inlet collector (the SOHC engine without Multec)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

At installation of an inlet collector it is necessary to use new laying.


Removal

Unscrewing of a connecting nut of a vacuum hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes on the SOHC models

Unscrewing of nuts of fastening of an inlet collector

Removal of an inlet collector on the SOHC models

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Remove a regulator of turns of idling and hoses.
3. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the butterfly valve lever. Take a sealing ring of a cover of a cable of an accelerator from an arm on an inlet collector and move it aside.
4. Weaken a collar and disconnect the main air branch pipe from the throttle case.
5. Unscrew a connecting nut and disconnect a vacuum hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes from an inlet collector (see fig. Unscrewing of a connecting nut of a vacuum hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes on the SOHC models).
6. Disconnect a hose of ventilation of a case of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders from the throttle case.
7. Disconnect hoses of supply of cooling liquid from the case of a throttle and close the ends of hoses suitable jams.
8. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
9. Disconnect a vacuum pipe from a regulator of pressure of fuel.
10. Disconnect a casing of a plait of wires from fuel nozzles and move it aside, without pulling a wire. Compress brackets of fastening and, having pulled a casing of wires on itself, disconnect electric sockets from fuel nozzles.
11. Disconnect fuel hoses from the fuel highway and close the ends of hoses suitable jams.
12. Unscrew a nut and take a bolt of the top fastening of the generator.
13. Check that all hoses, pipes and electric sockets are disconnected from an inlet collector.
14. Unscrew nuts and remove an inlet collector from a head of the block of cylinders. Remove laying of an inlet collector (see fig. Unscrewing of nuts of fastening of an inlet collector, Removal of an inlet collector on the SOHC models).
15. If when unscrewing nuts of fastening of an inlet collector from a head of the block of cylinders hairpins are unscrewed, after removal of a collector screw in hairpins in a head of the block of cylinders.
16. If necessary remove from an inlet collector the remained elements.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account the next moments...

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish all earlier removed elements on an inlet collector.
2. If from a collector the arm of fastening of the generator acted in film, establish an arm before collector installation.
3. Establish an inlet collector on a head of the block of cylinders with new laying, fix nuts and tighten them the demanded moment.
4. Check correctness and reliability of connection of hoses, pipes and electric sockets.
5. Check level of cooling liquid and, if necessary, finish it to norm.
6. Check and, if necessary, adjust an accelerator cable.
7. If elements of fuel system acted in film, check and if necessary, adjust a fuel mix of idling.
