7.6. The control unit in temperature of air arriving in the engine

GENERAL INFORMATION

On models the temperature of air arriving in the engine copes with system of injection of Multec fuel the block of adjustment established in the air chamber. At start of the cold engine the regulator is closed and depression in an inlet collector influences the valve of adjustment of air temperature in the case of the air filter. Thus through the vacuum amplifier the folding shutter closes intake of cold air and opens supply of the air which has been warmed up by a final collector.

At temperature increase of air arriving in the engine in the air chamber the bimetallic plate and the worked thermoswitch is unclenched reduces depression in the regulating valve. Thus the folding shutter blocks giving in the engine of the air which has been warmed up by a final collector and after engine warming up in the engine only fresh cold air arrives.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check begin on the cold engine. Uncover the air filter. Thus the folding shutter should block completely supply of the air which has been warmed up by a final collector. Start the engine, thus a folding shutter should rise, blocking intake of cold air in the engine. In process of engine warming up the folding shutter should fall gradually before complete overlapping of a stream of the air which has been warmed up by a final collector.
2. For thermoswitch check on the working engine disconnect from a back part of the air chamber a pipe of the vacuum regulating valve from the switch coupling. At engine warming up on the coupling the depression created by an inlet collector should be felt, and after engine warming up depression should be absent.
3. For check of the valve of adjustment of temperature of air arriving in the engine uncover the air filter. Thus the folding shutter should be established in situation, I block to a neck supply of the air which has been warmed up by a final collector. Disconnect a vacuum tube of the regulating valve from the switch coupling on a back part of the air chamber and a mouth create depression in a tube. Thus the folding shutter should rise, blocking a stream of the cold air arriving in the engine.
4. If the regulating valve of air temperature is faulty, it is necessary to replace the case of the air filter. At malfunction of a thermoswitch it is necessary to replace the case of the air chamber.
5. Boots of natyazhitel should rotate freely on axes. If on them there are cracks, chips or considerable wear of a working surface, it is necessary to replace them.
