7.9. The fuel filter on models with the fuel pump located out of a fuel tank

GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of the fuel filter on models with the fuel pump established out of a fuel tank

Knot of fuel elements on models with the fuel pump located out of a fuel tank

1–fuel filter;

2–quencher of fluctuations of fuel;

3–fuel pump

Removal

Depending on model the fuel filter is fixed or on an arm of the fuel pump under a back part of the car or on the right side about a niche for a spare wheel or before a fuel tank.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Prepare the container for collecting fuel after removal of the fuel filter.
3. Using clips, press fuel hoses from two parties of the filter for reduction of losses of fuel after a detachment of hoses.
4. Weaken screw collars and remove fuel hoses from the fuel filter.
5. Weaken bolts of fastening of clips and remove the fuel filter from an arm. Before removal of the fuel filter note the arrow direction on the case of the filter which specifies the direction of a stream of fuel and the provision of a label OUT (exit) at a filter end face.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. At installation be guided by an arrow and labels on the filter case.
2. Start the engine and check fuel system on existence of leaks. In the presence of leakages of fuel immediately switch off the engine and eliminate the leak reason.
