9.14. Check and adjustment of the moment of injection of fuel

GENERAL INFORMATION

The indicator of hour type and the adapter, used for installation of the moment of injection of fuel

Check of the moment of injection of fuel is necessary for making after dismantle of the fuel pump.

Dynamic check of the moment of injection of fuel should be made at service station with use of the special equipment.

For static installation of the moment of injection of fuel use of the indicator of hour type and an adapter (see fig. is necessary. The indicator of hour type and an adapter, used for installation of the moment of injection of fuel).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. Unscrew the pipelines submitting fuel to fuel nozzles of the first and second cylinders.
2. Unscrew a cap located between pipes of supply of fuel to nozzles from the back party of the fuel pump (see fig. Cap unscrewing for installation of the moment of injection of fuel).
3. Release the mechanism of start of the cold engine, passing a screw-driver through two openings of the lever and turning the lever (see fig. Release of the mechanism of start of the cold engine).
4. Establish the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point in a compression step then turn a cranked shaft of the engine back on a turn quarter.
5. In a nest for a cap screw in an adapter together with the indicator of hour type (see fig. Adapter screwing up with the indicator of hour type in the fuel pump).
6. Slowly turn a cranked shaft in both parties and, watching indicator indications, establish the piston of the fuel pump in the bottom dead point. Establish an arrow of the indicator on 0.
7. Slowly turn a cranked shaft clockwise before combination of an adjusting label of a pulley of a cranked shaft with the index.
8. Take readings with the indicator of hour type, and the size on индикато ре should correspond given in technical characteristics. If it is necessary to make adjustment, weaken bolts and nuts of fastening of the fuel pump and slowly turn the pump case until the indicator of hour type will not show demanded value. In this situation tighten bolts and nuts of fastening of the fuel pump.
9. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine clockwise on one and 3/4 turns. Slowly turning a cranked shaft forward and back and observing for indications ми the indicator of hour type, define, when the piston of the fuel pump will be established in the bottom dead point, and establish an arrow of the indicator on 0.
10. Slowly turn a cranked shaft of the engine clockwise before combination of an adjusting label of a pulley of a cranked shaft with the index and check installation of the moment of injection of fuel.
11. Unscrew an adapter with the indicator of hour type and take a screw-driver from the mechanism of start of the engine in a cold condition.
12. Screw in in a back part of the fuel pump a cap.
