9.15. Fuel nozzles

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

At check of work of fuel nozzles never hold up hands or any part of a body under the stream of fuel leaving a nozzle. Fuel leaves a nozzle under a high pressure and can get into a body through skin.


At operation of the engine there is a wear of fuel nozzles and after run of 100 000 km it is necessary to make repair or replacement of fuel nozzles. The expert should make check, repair and calibration of fuel nozzles.

For definition of a faulty nozzle it is necessary to be convinced that the engine is serviceable and level of a compression is identical in all cylinders.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature.
2. Weaken a fastening nut топливопро water on a checked nozzle (see fig. Weakening of a nut of fastening топливопровода on a checked fuel nozzle). Note, whether engine turns changed. Make the same check on accelerated single to a course.
3. At a serviceable fuel nozzle obvious reduction of turns of the engine, being accompanied will be observed by its non-uniform work. If the checked nozzle is faulty, change of turns of the engine will be insignificant and will be gone, if there was earlier extraneous knock.
4. For access to fuel nozzles remove an inlet collector.
5. Remove pipelines of supply of fuel from the fuel pump to fuel nozzles.
6. Unscrew nuts from the top part of fuel nozzles and remove a pipe of return of fuel.
7. Unscrew fuel nozzles and remove them from a head of the block of cylinders.
8. Take from a nest of a fuel nozzle a sealing ring, heatisolira a yushchy washer and the high-temperature plug.
9. Check of fuel nozzles bypass мо to make at service station with use of the special equipment.
10. Establish new the high-temperature plug heatisolating a washer and a sealing ring (see fig. Installation of the high-temperature plug in a nest of a fuel nozzle, Installation of a heatisolating washer in a nest of a fuel nozzle, Installation of a sealing ring in a nest of a fuel nozzle, the Arrangement of details of a fuel nozzle).
11. Establish in a head of the block of cylinders fuel nozzles and tighten them the demanded moment. If the fuel nozzle is correctly fixed, the label on the case of a nozzle should be combined with inflow on a head of the block of cylinders (see fig. Label combination on the nozzle case with inflow on a head of the block of cylinders at the correct tightening of a fuel nozzle).
12. Establish on fuel nozzles a pipe of return of fuel with new washers and fix nuts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
13. Establish pipes of supply of fuel from the fuel pump to fuel nozzles.
14. Establish an inlet collector.
15. Start the engine and check tightness of fuel system.
